A claim for wrongful death results from the loss of a life due to negligence or intentional acts of another person or group of people. We believe that the manufacturer of Pradaxa, Boehringer Ingelheim, falls under the category of being responsible for wrongful death as a result of the defective drug, Pradaxa.
Victim’s family members and administrator or executor of the deceased estate have a right to seek justice for Wrongful Death. Attorney Brian White will assist families with not only the Pradaxa Lawsuit, but will also assist sorting out Estate and probate matters. In many cases, we will hire probate lawyers in order to provide assistance to families who lost a loved one. Whether the deceased had a will or did not have a will, we help sort out the administration and distribution of the Estate, when asked to do so.
While a death of a loved one leaves the family with many questions, one of the questions is how to handle the probate matters of the deceased. Probate is the legal process of handling assets left by the loss of loved one. When it comes time to handle the matters of the estate of a deceased loved one let our attorneys be there to assist you with your legal needs . There are some things one should keep in mind when getting ready to start the process for probate:
On November 12, 2011 Boehringer Ingelheim linked 260 deaths to the drug, but only 1 month prior stated there had been just 50 deaths linked to the side effects of Pradaxa. In spite of the hundreds of deaths to have been linked to Pradaxa, the warning states that internal bleeding is a serious side effect that “can sometimes lead to death”. The FDA has also reported over 300 reports of issues involving the use of Pradaxa with in the first three months of Pradaxa being approved. The FDA also stated that a majority of the reports came from the elderly. Patients who are taking Pradaxa also have a 33% higher risk of heart attack than those patients who have taken warfarin.
